GIELLA Returns to M.U.D.

After a successful custom cosmetics demonstration at Make-up Designory (MUD) back in February, Giella returned for another presentation at the makeup training school. Students and alumni from MUD gathered to learn about GIELLA Custom Blend Makeup products, the fall collection, color matching, and building an independent makeup brand.

For aspiring artists looking to pave their own paths in makeup artistry, Giella provides a unique perspective on building up her experience, network, and makeup knowledge before starting the GIELLA Custom Blend Cosmetics brand. Launching her line at Henri Bendel’s, GIELLA developed her custom items through years of working with the color and image conscious clientele of the exclusive Vidal Sassoon Salons and beyond. From meeting Mario Dedivanovic and developing her best-selling EYE M GLAM highlighting powder to becoming an expert in custom blending solutions and color matching techniques, Giella taught the students the importance of knowing not only their clients and others within the industry, but also the ingredients that "make up" their makeup products.

Students came eager with questions, specifically about the custom blending process, which Giella demonstrated through her presentation. With the launch of our custom Lip Bar, the class focused largely on our customizable lip products. Students selected colors or images that they wanted to see developed in front of their eyes and Giella created three handcrafted products: a fiery red lip that matched a student's hair color, a deep brown gloss from another student, and a recreation of a discontinued matte lipstick for another.

Giella's presentation showcased the void custom blending solutions fill for any and all kinds of makeup. Following the class, several students came up to Giella to learn more about her brand and her experience within the industry as a female business owner.

Beyond creating natural, cruelty-free makeup for all types of skin tones and textures, Giella finds joy in teaching young artists to find their voice, their strength, and their independence in a competitive industry, and is grateful to have the opportunity to host a class at the MUD training school.
